At Chicago's annual arts ball Miss Rosalind Hightower appeared as a wax Lady Godiva then revealed in a sheer gown, with stage curtains mishandled causing a delayed finale. Guests saw the wax figure briefly before the curtain mishap, ending with Hightower revealed again in diaphanous attire.
Raleigh Nov 26 Wade H. Phillips director announced that North Carolina's federal census of manufacturers will be conducted by the state department of conservation and development as agent for the United States department of commerce this year. The census is conducted every two years.
