Two Brothers Arrested In Murder Case
Halifax County Sheriff H A House said two brothers Walter Howell 26 and Henry Howell 24 were arrested near a Roanoke river store on a tip from a motorist. Patrolman Clifton Massey was killed when he intervened in a pool hall incident and his gun was found on Walter Howell. The brothers are held without bond in an undisclosed jail.
