Local Peace Walker Ill After Fast
In Macon Georgia an 18-year-old High Point North Carolina man Ronald T Moose passed out while parking on a public work detail. He is one of 17 peace walkers serving stockade sentences after conviction on charges of illegal distribution of literature. Moose was taken to Macon Hospital for observation. doctors said he was weak but otherwise all right. Some walkers reportedly refused food in the stockade as the group protested racial discrimination. The 17 were convicted Wednesday. Hardy noted Moose paid $30 of his fine in lieu of sentence and was released.
