Advertising Complaint Evaluation Guide
Consumers are shown how to evaluate ad claims under truth and accuracy tests. Steps include listing promises in print ads or recallable promises from TV ads, judging misleading elements, and assessing whether expectations were met. If a complaint concerns misrepresentation or downgrading groups, write to the advertiser. If valid, the NAD refers to a Review Board and reports outcomes.
