As Thanksgiving approaches High Point churches plan services including a Thursday morning observance and a mid week service the night before Early sunrise services and a Thanksgiving Breakfast are offered with all churches inviting the public to enter His gates with Thanksgiving and praise Local churches will collect Christmas baskets and provide aid for the needy through special offerings.
Mrs J A Hoge will lead a service stressing opportunities for young women in home making. Next Sunday Robert Koontz discusses guiding young men. About 24 HPHS seniors will attend sessions ahead of the comune Vocational Guidance Test in Flora Mac, Red Springs. Ilorians boast a local girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs R E Dawson St.
The Rev. T. L. Sasser an associational minister and Missions Committeeman of the Piedmont Baptist Association will be present to help organize the new church in James.
