In Cape Town, Dr. Robert Blinden was fined 28 dollars or a month in jail after punching a patient on a dislocated jaw. The man had paid 2.40 dollars to have six teeth removed. after the first tooth was pulled, the jaw became dislocated and the dentist then pulled the remaining five teeth before rushing the patient to a doctor. The patient testified the blow occurred when he refused to pay the fee.
