Reynolds Heir Loses $1 500 000 Ruling on Thrift Clause
Winston Salem reports a North Carolina superior court judge rejected Richard Joshua Reynolds claim under a thrift clause in his father Reynolds will. The will tied each child's shares to a two for one return on net profits earned from their own efforts. The ruling blocks a $1.374 million potential award, preventing Reynolds from obtaining Reynolds stock valued at over $1.5 million at the time.
