Frederick Landis congressman elect from Indiana's second district dies of pneumonia in Cass County Hospital. He was also a newspaper columnist radio commentator and author. The death occurred in Logansport Indiana on November 6 as reported by AP.
Eastern Airlines announced new Flyer schedules for the New York to Miami route starting next Monday. Two daily round trips will operate on an eight hour schedule with a daylight flight stopping in Washington Raleigh Savannah Jacksonville and Miami and a night flight stopping in Washington Charleston Jacksonville and Miami.
The North Carolina Eugenics Board will meet in Raleigh on November 21 to review 22 petitions for sterilization. If approved, the session will set a new record for petitions handled at a single meeting, surpassing the previous high.
