About 400 parents attended a full day of activities at High Point College on Saturday. They met with faculty, observed sports and fine arts demonstrations, and took part in class roles from freshman guides to sophomore tea helpers as the college hosted conferences and a basketball scrimmage with North Carolina A T College.
Richard Moffatt and Charles H. Brown led Civitan district council activities in High Point on Saturday. The event featured a guest luncheon by Moffatt from Goldsboro, an opening assembly with college leaders, residence hall tours, a box luncheon at Harrison Hall, an afternoon basketball scrimmage, tea, and an evening drama coordinated by Beverly Deal with children’s activities provided by the PE department.

Harold Jones of High Point was arrested on assault and trespassing charges and turned over to Thomasville police for trial in the Chair City for events alleged to have occurred Oct. 25.
