Family Troubles Alleged In Rinaldi Murder Trial
The state rested its case in the murder trial of 35 year old Rinaldi as it sought to link him to an attempted for pay killing of his wife. Alfred L Foushee testified that Rinaldi asked him to kill Mrs Rinaldi for money, with corroboration from FBI style figures and notes from Miss Lucy Begg who provided the history of the couple. The defense cross examined Begg about their ten days together, while Mrs Rinaldi had left Chapel Hill for Waterbury and then returned. Foushee was the key witness for the state in this case.
