In Raleigh an 84-year-old vegetable peddler George Washington Lee married his 74-year-old longtime sweetheart Delobie Honeycutt in a simple ceremony. He courted her for nearly six decades and said she was his first and last sweetheart. He had previously married someone else, but circumstances led to a long wait before this union.
Stan ley B. Gallat 25 failed to pay a 0 cent restaurant check yesterday triggering a 15 mile chase through five suburbs. Police bullets punctured his car and six officers were hurt as Gallat was subdued in his home. a patrol car wrecked and 23 bullets fired. He was charged with resisting arrest assault destruction of property and traffic violations.
An American pilot Lt. Russell Brown reported he shot down a MiG-15 near Sinuiju. He said it is too early to assess the MiG-15's merits against the F-80s, noting the enemy appeared well trained but mainly performed stunts.
