Boy 9 Locked in Toolbox Eight Days in California
A nine year old, David Bourbonnais, was found alive after being shut inside a 12 inch wide tool compartment of an abandoned auto trailer for eight days. He weighed 70 pounds before and about 35 pounds after the ordeal and was recovering in Seaside hospital. A navy physician called his condition surprisingly good given the exposure and shock. The boy said a larger boy slammed the door on him on November 5 while he climbed in to retrieve a jacket. He slept most of the time and cried for help, which went unanswered until an unidentified man released him this morning.
