In Rock Hill South Carolina two masked robbers held up H C Long a clerk at the Andrew Jackson hotel forcing the safe and cash drawer to be opened. They escaped with about six hundred dollars leaving few clues as officers search for a small coach reported stolen from J M Simpson at the Rock Hill Printing and Finishing company.

In Statesville on November 13 witnesses testified Ralph Davis shot a deputy in the leg and then killed Sheriff G C Kimball near here on August 17 during an attempted arrest. Deputy Gilbert and witness Dorothy Dry described the gun battle and Davis’s actions. Davis denied the shooting.
