Clyde M. Jarrett Elected Grand Master of Masons
Clyde M. Jarrett of Ashe was elected to serve as grand master of the North Carolina Grand Lodge of Masons succeeding Julius C. Hobbs. The election followed the annual conclave with appointments announced for district and grand officers including J. W. Fitzgerald as chaplain and Z. V. Snipes as grand lecturer.
