China Scholars Cite Four Points After China Visit
Two of 15 American scholars who spent a month in China last summer spoke at Deep River Quarterly Friends Meeting in High Point. The Kruzes described seven months in Hong Kong, teaching and research, meeting Premier Chou En-Lai and Prince Sihanouk while noting family life remained intact in China. Chou listed four aims for U S Chinese ties: settle Indo China war without US involvement, halt aid to Taiwan, resolve Korea division and withdrawal, and consider remilitarization of Japan.
