Forensic League Students Speak At Woman's Club Meet
Four high school students from High Point Central presented the National Forensic League program at the High Point Woman's Club meeting held Wednesday at the Top-of-the-Mart. Speakers Jane Fairchild Cary Dockery Connie Hayworth and Dana Robinson outlined the league and its activities. Mrs Roy B Culler Jr presided.

Pollution Program at YWCA Highlights Pollution Issues
A Mary Bethune Branch YWCA covered dish evening explored pollution causes and remedies. Teens, I Paul Ingle and J Wilson Clark outlined air water and earth concerns, with demonstrations on waste compactors and a Thanksgiving devotional. The meeting announced a 1971 budget, a Christmas bazaar, a Woman of the Year award and a chartered bus trip to Raleigh events. Genevieve Moore received a life membership for long service to the club.

Mrs Arthur Utley Jr spoke on worship inspiration with music at Wesley Memorial UMC Women’s Society meeting. Mrs A R Cross welcomed new member Mrs William Thames as president led business. Howard Coble, minister of music, explained worship philosophy and choir role. He led hymns with Mrs Charles W McAnally and closed with Casals readings.
