World Community Day Observed By Local Church Women
World Community Day was observed at a YWCA luncheon with a United Church Women program and election led by B Tartt Bell of the American Friends Service Committee. Bell spoke on finding the road to peace, criticizing the arms race and urging peaceful settlement with Russia while strengthening the United Nations. The event opened with reflections from Rev. W. E. Price and announced new church officers and a drive for Latin American education supplies.
