The Pentagon club discussed tentative plans for its annual Christmas banquet at the home of president Mrs. Alson Gray on Gatewood Avenue. Mrs. Kate Lentz of Westwood was named head of a Pilot Club committee in High Point to select applicants for a district wide business school scholarship. One High Point girl will compete with 15 others. applications due November 24. Reports from the district Pilot convention at Sedgefield were heard. High Point Garden Clubs Plan City Beautification Project
The High Point Council of Garden clubs met at the Adams Memorial YWCA. They voted to beautify the city approaches as the year's major project. Eighteen clubs are affiliated, with Catesby Bird club and Wonderland junior group recently added. Prizes were awarded for the flower show exhibits: 15 to Tuesday Evening for first, 10 to Nature Study for second, and 5 to Wayside for third.

The couple wed September 25 at First Post Church Electon Maryland officiated by C M Cope. The bride elder education in New York Connecticut and abroad. The groom is in the U S Navy. Honeymoon in Florida then two weeks in High Point before Norfolk where they will reside during the groom’s service.
