Whitten M D professor of pediatrics at Wayne State University will be the principal speaker at the Triad Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation dinner November 11 at 5 p m at the Cosmos Club Greensboro The foundation is creating an annual North Carolina award for contributions to Sickle Cell disease Recipients include State Representatives Frye Michaux and Joy Johnson for sponsoring a council to study Sickle Cell issues Also honored is Les Femmes Social Club and Dr J D Trader is president
