Jacobs To Appeal Dismissal In Civil Service Review
The High Point Police Benevolent Association and Police Chief Donald Roseman declined further comment on the dismissal of patrol officer Tim Jacobs as he plans an appeal to the Civil Service hearing. Roseman cited Jacobs' overall police service record and said the action concerned him as an individual, not the union. The association met to await the Civil Service outcome, while City Council candidates Hunter Walton and Dorothy Burnley spoke to members. Five of 18 candidates had returned questionnaires on police matters, with responses from David Maas, Bill Brewer, and Sam Burford in addition to the two present at the meeting.
