Island Sprayed With Magic Insecticide
An island in the Pacific is being sprayed with DDT to combat disease carrying insects. A Marine torpedo bomber, rigged for spraying, drops a DDT oil mix over the rubble and mangrove swamps. Results, in twenty two hours, show promise for prelanding insect control and possibly pre D Day protection. DDT is also used for corpses and around mess halls.
