The corner stone laying for Emmanuel Lutheran Church on North Main Street featured morning and afternoon services with a large outdoor ceremony at 3 30 pm. Rev J J Morgan preached on Matt 16 18 and Rev E A Shenk and Rev W A Lambeth offered prayers. The church, designed by Harry Barton, will be Gothic in brick with terracotta tile interior and seating for about 375.
