Duke Commencement Week Highlights 1952 Activities
Duke University opens its 1952 commencement week with a large student cohort from 43 states and 14 countries. Special firsts include Doctor of Education and Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degrees. Columbia University will speak Monday, with Lt. Governor Patrick Taylor delivering a message to graduates. Dr. Paul Hardin Jr. to preach the Baccalaureate in Duke Chapel. Alumni Golf Tournament and Glee Club events mark Friday and Saturday, ending with commencement at 10:30 Monday in the Duke Indoor Stadium.
