Myatt Named Municipal Judge as Morgan Becomes Solicitor
J A Archie Myatt a 49 year old High Point attorney was named by Governor Scott as judge of Municipal Court to succeed Don C MacRae. J W Morgan was named to succeed Louis J Fisher as solicitor ending months of speculation. Myatt served on Gen MacArthur staff in World War II and has a long local practice and civic ties. Morgan a Mount Point native is a UNC Law School graduate and longtime private practitioner now with Morgan and York. Both will take oath Friday and begin four year terms with salaries set for the bench.
