New Treatments Aid Furniture Stain Resistance
Modern chemistries make sofas and chairs more stain resistant through finishes like Zepel and Scotchgard. Zepel, a Du Pont fluorine finish, repels water and oil and stays effective after washings, while Scotchgard from 3M claims oil and water-borne stains resist soil. Manufacturers across Crestline to Thomasville offer treated pieces with varying availability and added costs.
