Child Killed by Truck on Salisbury Highway Site
Charles Craig Kennedy four year old son of Mr and Mrs W D Kennedy was killed in Salisbury when struck by a truck driven by R P Lookadoo of Bostic hauling material for a construction company building the Salisbury Mooresville highway. The driver said the child ran into the street into the truck and was run over by the rear wheels. An inquest was ordered for later today.

Heart Attack Fatal Ends Greensboro Advertising Leader
Charles J. Lamb, 52, longtime advertising manager of the Greensboro News and Record, died at home from a heart attack after working at his desk yesterday. Funeral arrangements are pending. Mrs. Albert H. Waycaster, 55, was found dead in Reidsville with an internal hemorrhage suspected. coroner orders investigation. She had lived in Reidsville 20 years and leaves a husband, seven children, and a native of Hickory.
