The Fargo Freighter, first of Chrysler built Fargo trucks, goes into production at a dedicated plant. Fargo Motor Corporation notes the one ton model meets 70 percent of truck needs, with 83 percent possible when combined with smaller Fargo models. The vehicle features a 133 inch wheelbase, 55 horsepower six cylinder engine, four speeds forward, 5.67 to 1 final drive, four wheel hydraulic brakes, and Iso-therm Invar Strut pistons.
