The Paraclete and Presence of Christ in Modern Life
William T. Ellis reflects on The Presence painting showing Christ comforting a sorrowful peasant woman, then explains the Holy Spirit as the Paraclete, Jesus’ Other Self, sent to empower believers. He likens the Spirit to an ambassador and sovereign, guides modern democracy, and asserts the Spirit enables new world order and persistent Christ influence.
