Mr W H Grimes of Asheboro announces the engagement of his sister Biiner to Mr J C Senter of Charlotte. The wedding is planned for June. A preliminary hearing in Asheboro Monday addressed H D P Phillips charged with careless driving after backing into the Ridge car injuring four year old Frances Ridge. Phillips was fined and bound over on assault with a deadly weapon to the September term. Phillips is a church organizer at Pinehurst and a music teacher at Catawba College. Frances Ridge is the four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs W M Ridge of Dixon Street.
