Washington May 23 Every man of draft age must work or fight after July 1 under a new amendment to the selective service act announced by Provost Marshal General Crowder. The rule targets non use ful occupations including crammers, race track attendants, bucket shop workers, fortune tellers, waiters, bartenders, theatre ushers, elevator operators, domestics and clerks, with deferred dependents disregarded. A refusal to take new employment will place the registrant in class one for immediate military service, unless hardships on dependents justify discretion.
