Frank Krubik was pulled alive after more than sixty hours entombed in the Mather Mine. Rescue teams renewed their efforts to find other survivors as 59 bodies had been recovered and 137 miners remained unaccounted for. John Buschia, supported by two men, walked to aid station in good condition and reported a choking sensation before rescue.
