Survey Tells Tales On Dentists Teeth And Dental Health
A study of 350 dentists shows their mouths needed restorative work yet dentists retain many teeth. Dentists aged 21 to 65 averaged 27 teeth kept per month, higher than younger dental students who averaged five fewer. An Xray study of 381 patients found 122 retained root tips after extractions, underscoring need for radiographs before and after tooth removal. The piece notes dentists’ human reluctance to visit dentists and includes a Q A on pernicious anemia caused by stomach atrophy, with a cure via liver extract.
