About 185 youths from the North Carolina Episcopal Diocese attended a regional convention at St. Marys in Winston Salem. Bishop Penick distributed Merit and Recognition awards to six individuals and several leagues, with Janet Taylor of Winston Salem winning the Bishop's Cup. Actress Jeanne Crain Seeks Divorce From Brinkman
Los Angeles actress Jeanne Crain says after a reconciliation hearing there is no change in her decision to divorce manufacturer Paul Brinkman. The hearing before Superior Court Judge Lewis Drucker was requested by Brinkman. Crain accuses Brinkman of beating her and says she considered the split for two years. Brinkman says he may be forced to file a cross complaint.

Local Builders To Take Part In U S Survey
Local builders of new homes will be visited in six weeks by interviewers from the U S Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics as part of a survey of housing activity. The National Association of Home Builders and the Producers Council Inc support the survey, which targets selected local builders. Builders will be asked about house size construction frame or masonry materials used features and price ranges.
