Two Lexington Men Killed In Auto Crash
Ruel Michael aged 36 and John Swicegood 19 were found dead in Michael’s heavy sedan at a county road fill eight miles from Lexington. The car plunged over a 10 foot fill on a curve after turning off the main highway at 11:30 last night. Michael, a World War veteran and traveling salesman, recently came to recuperate at his parents’ home. Swicegood was unmarried, son of local residents. The two men were cousins.

General Robert H Dunlap Recovered From Barn Collapse
Police and volunteers directed by army engineers recovered the body of General Robert H Dunlap U S M C from the ruins of a barn at the Chateau of Cinq Mars in Tours France. They also rescued Mme Briant alive but badly injured. her leg was amputated by a surgeon on site. The general and Denis Briant were killed saving the woman, who survived in a stone cave air vent.
