ASHEVILLE The Great Smokies Hilton hosted the North Carolina State Society of American Association of Medical Assistants on May 14 15 with about 285 members present. Betty Hall High Point president led delegates Peggy Dobbins Clarice Warren Mary Johnson and alternates Elsie Hunt Priscilla Culler Emma Blevins Theresa Stoker Denree Brower Tina Robinson. Guest Dr and Mrs Royal G Jennings. Hall elected state recording secretary appointed to nominating committee and chaplain. National AAMA president will be Joan Michiels of Charlotte. Local president Hall named alternate delegate for national convention in Chicago Sept 13 18. Theme The Ascent to Knowledge.
