Summer Camp For Guard Set At Fort Bragg
High Point's three National Guard artillery batteries plus units from Thomasville and Siler City train at Fort Bragg from June 8 to 22 as part of the 540th Field Artillery Battalion. The unit belongs to the 30th Infantry Division under Major General Claude T. Bowers. About 9,600 officers and enlisted men are slated to attend, the largest peacetime Guard training operation at one site.
