Nature Girl Dorothy Brown Finishes High School at Wingate
Dorothy Brown, the North Carolina nature girl who rose to national attention, graduates high school at Wingate next Sunday after completing two years of coursework in four years. She earned 16 A’s and 10 B’s, studying history, civics, French, biology, algebra, English, Bible and art while receiving substantial tutoring. The 18 year old, from near Mooresville, has grown socially and academically under Wingate’s guidance with support from a local benefactor and the college.
