Senior Day Picnic Entertains HPC Seniors at Cooke Residence
High Point College seniors enjoyed a midday picnic on the Cooke lawn at 8271 W Dr with Dr Dennis H. Cooke and Mrs Cooke hosting. Sponsors and faculty members attended, a pennant given to each senior marked the event, replacing prior senior receptions as a popular college activity.

Beeson Cross Road Community Council met at the club house Route 1 Kennereville for a covered dish supper with 35 members present. John Nelson spoke on six projects for 1956 stressing chest X-rays for each farm family. New members welcomed include Mr and Mrs P J Milton Mr and Mrs BR Gardner and Mr and Mrs Brain Teague. Town and Country Garden Club finalized plans for a June family picnic at City Lake.
