Cleveland Police Shoot Movies For Rookie Training
A Cleveland Police training film uses staged looting and armed suspects to simulate real gunfire. Police captain Richard Wagner created the concept to expose rookies to dangerous scenarios without risking lives, scoring the shooter on accuracy via a film-projected scene that pauses when the gun goes off. Veterans also attend Wagner’s screening to observe the method.
