Cleveland slum clearance plan eyed as national model
A $300 million government financed housing program for Cleveland aims to demolish seven blighted areas housing 300000 people. The plan would use Reconstruction Finance Corp loans up to 85 percent, build three story fireproof apartments, and create jobs nationwide. Ohio supports the idea with laws allowing R F C loans, while New York already advances a similar project.
