State Fair Looks Like a Thing of Only History Now
Raleigh May 12 Indications are not encouraging for a State Fair near Raleigh under the new law. City bonds of about 75000 would be needed to total 200000 for buildings, with no guaranteed state operation. Financing gaps, land reversion risks, and prison farm land concerns threaten the project, delaying any real chance of a fair under present statutes.
