Medical Society Opens 93rd North Carolina Meeting in Virginia Beach

High School Girl Stabbed To Death in Florida Grove
In Dade City Florida on May 10 a 14 year old girl Willie Mae Benton was found fatally stabbed in an orange grove near her home. Sheriff Leslie Bessinger said he charged 23 year old Arthur Edward Berry of Jacksonville Beach with her murder. Benton had recently arrived from Danielsville Georgia with her uncle and aunt J A Washburn. The injuries included a stab wound to the jugular throat and severe lacerations. Her clothing was torn and a throat wound laceration accompanied by arm injuries and a near severed ear.

Eight Missing As Freighter Sinks In Pacific Storm
