In Seville on May 11 the aircraft Jesus Del Gran Poder crashed during takeoff while attempting a duration and distance record. Captain Ignacio Jiminez and Captain Francisco Iglesias were aboard as the plane veered off the runway at 6 15 a m and struck a military automobile. The lower right wing was badly damaged and flight was impossible. The crowd at the airdrome cheered as the craft collided with the vehicle.
