Made in North Carolina Week Set for June

The Made in North Carolina campaign announced by the Department of Conservation and Development aims to turn the state's stores into exposition halls during the week of June 16. Director J W Harrelson said the effort seeks to showcase home made products and broaden public knowledge of local industries beyond textiles tobacco and furniture. The program builds on earlier state campaigns and expositions, arguing it requires little cost or effort from communities and merchants to educate every resident about state manufactured goods.
