Quiet Mitcham Drives HPC Baseball to Top Seed
Sophomore High Point College right fielder David Mitcham transformed from a quiet, steady player into a key offensive force. He hit three home runs in a three day span and raised his average to the .260s while driving HPC to the Carolinas Conference regular season title. Mitcham credits confidence and hitting with runners on base, and coach Chuck Hartman lauds his improved outfield play and left handed power.
