Near East relief warns public against impostors soliciting funds
Raleigh authorities warn the public that Near East Relief does not hire agents or conduct door to door fund drives except during county campaigns under local chairmen. Col. G. H. Bellamy says funds arrive at the state office and press, pulpit, schools, and county groups support the drive. He cites a recent impostor sale of extracts and urges donations through authorized channels to meet a $200,000 North Carolina goal for orphans in Trebizond.
