R P explains double yolk eggs occur when an egg production system malfunctions and releases two yolks. Willard Kimrey, county farm agent, notes young pullets just starting production are often the source of the anomaly.
VA facts show eligibility for eight years or until May 31 1974 for those released between Jan 31 1955 and June 1 1966. The North Carolina House approved raising the minimum automobile liability coverage to 10000 for personal injury and 20000 for total injuries effective next January. The bill, approved 79 to 37, keeps property damage at 5000. Debate centered on higher premiums and broader protection for drivers.
The House Constitutional Amendments Committee approved two bills to lower the voting age to 18 in North Carolina. A third measure to allow armed forces abroad to vote regardless of age was defeated. Pope Paul VI announced a May 13 one day trip to Fatima Portugal to pray for peace and urge end to the Vietnam war. He spoke to thousands at his weekly audience lamenting the world’s lack of peace and urged acceptance of new peace proposals with mediation and safeguards for Southeast Asia. This will be his fourth international journey in four years visiting Holy Land India and New York.
President Johnson rejected compulsory arbitration to avert a nationwide rail strike and said Congress may be asked to provide mediation machinery later this week. He offered no troop increase recommendations for Vietnam and warned against antiwar rhetoric. He backs a six percent tax surcharge and warned against drastic changes to school aid. A 90 day no lockout period with a five member board would guide mediation and possible settlement efforts.
