First Social For Women Draws 260 At Emerywood Club
The Emerywood Country Club hosted the first women’s social event in the new clubhouse drawing over 260 members and guests. A morning bridge and canasta session led to a luncheon and a fashion show by Collier Ellis Jr. and Gilbert’s Shoe Store with eighteen local models. A piano performance by Frances Foxger and humorous bathing costumes added light entertainment as plans for future events were hinted.
