Captain Dean K Weltman retired Navy chaplain will preach the High Point College Baccalaureate at Westey Memorial United Methodist Church on May 36 at 11 am The graduation class numbers 240 The commencement follows at 3 pm in Alumni Gym Weltman a Presbyterian minister from Iowa served on USS Randolph and USS Yorktown and held senior chaplain posts in the Far East Norfolk and Oceana He retired after 22 years in the corps His education includes Hope College Western Seminary and Harvard postgrad work He and his wife live in Hinton West Virginia He also ministers to a rural parish.
