Festive Opening At Emery Wood Country Club Weekend
The Emery Wood Country Club opened with a celebratory weekend for members and guests. A Friday dinner dance and Saturday informal dance drew capacity crowds, with an after church buffet Sunday and Lester Lanin Orchestra and the Ink Spots providing music. A Friday dance exhibit by Christina Williams complemented the event. Decorations featured white roses and yellow chrysanthemums with brass scales and branched candelabra. A forthcoming ladies luncheon on Tuesday will include a bridge canasta game and a fashion show by Collier Ellis & Co. and Gilbert's Shoe Store.
